Todays little experiment was to take a photo I had and make it look like one of the old photos your mum or dad might get out and its been ravaged by time. Here is my result:

I got a photo I took on a digital camera. Messed about with the colour balance to make it look a bit ‘greeny’. Then added an Alpha channel with an image of crumpled up paper, to which I added a lighting effect to give it a slight ‘crumpled’ shadow. I then added a gradient of yellow to the top of the image to make the top look more exposed than the other. Then added a few coffee stains with this brush.
