Monday, March 7th, 2011Over the last year or so, every day, I’ve watched a youTube video by a guy called Shay Carl. The guy is brilliant. Funny, an amazing Dad and an inspiration. He does a daily vlog (video blog) which is based around the goings on of his family, two daughters and two sons, they are easily the nicest – most entertaining – collection of people I have ever seen. Give some of his videos a watch and I can guarantee you will fall in love with the family like my wife and I have.
Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Shay’s Vlog. A video every day for two years. Amazing stuff. I feel like part of the family. If I had to pick someone to meet out of anyone in America it would be him.

Mario.Blog Headquarters
Hey dudes. The last few days when I’ve had a spare minute I’ve been working on this here new look for my blog. I hope you like it. I wanted to have a more modern feel and I’d seen a few sites out there with the ‘noise texture’ look and I really think its sweet, so I built a new theme around this initial idea.
Another big motivation behind the update (and this is sure to attract the ladies in droves) was that the old theme was a total mess behind the scenes. The code was a mish-mash of me just adjusting things when I noticed something. I went back to the basics here and built from scratch. Looking at the difference from the old theme and this one it is almost 30% smaller (and 100% more awesome), so you should expect a faster load time (Calm down ladies!).
Incase you didn’t know, this site is built on top of WordPress. It really is an amazing thing. If any of you dudes out there are looking to start a blog then I suggest this is the first, and last, place you go. Not just for what it is now but because it is getting better and better with every (frequent) update.
