Nice picture above eh? Was messing about with Cinema 4d tonight trying to get a nice fluid and natural look for a text design. Above is the result after finding that best way to do this is by using the Bezier tool with the Meatball Object.

ElectroForms: Mobile Data Capture
Sunday, January 17th, 2010ElectroForms is software for mobile devices that allows users to create Excel documents using an extremely easy-to-use data capture interface.
Users enter data using forms, which are customised exactly to your requirements. This is then converted to an Excel document instantly when it is e-mailed from the device.
It is ideal for small businesses as it does not require any IT administration or maintenance, and no databases or file servers are required.
Doesn’t that sound great? Being out on the road working, logging various pieces of data about your job. Coming back to your office and the previously inputted data is waiting for you in a nice structured spreadsheet for you to work on. No fiddling. No lugging a Laptop about. No re-logging notes that you took when you were on the road.
Not just that. Imagine you were a company with several workmen out completing various jobs around your catchment area. Your central office will get the real-time situation with all jobs in a easy to understand/organise format.
The good folks at Electroforms have done a great job developing such software.
Good luck guys!
Motion Graphics
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009Been messing about with Cinema 4d when ever I get a spare minute these days. Really brilliant program.
Here is a little animation test I rendered tonight:
I’m impressed how real the text is behaving as it falls. Forces acting upon the text are gravity and a slight wind in the x-plane to add a bit of variation.
Cinema 4d and Photoshop CS4
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009Purchased Cinema 4d and Photoshop CS4 this week as part of Lucid Studio. I’ve been mucking about with some of the features and before I knew it I had something quite funky. Thought I would post it to let you all see.

Created with Cinema 4d and CS4
Love the layout to CS4. So much more organised and intuitive. Lucid Studio is going to reap the benifits from the increased productivity. Cinema 4d seems nice too. Need to have more of a playabout with it!
Living For The Weekend
Friday, September 12th, 2008
I’ve been run off my feet this week. Working in Lucid Studio and the god forsaken shit-hole that is 301 St Vincent Street. At last it is nearly the weekend.
Its been hard. 8am to 10pm all week. Wondering if I’m getting anywhere, and generally freaking out trying to meet the demands of my growing client base. But even through this hardship I’ve been chuffed at some of the stuff I’ve done. Like mixing 3d packages with photoshop for example. It makes me smile when it works. Have a look at this program: Swift3D. Its so easy to grasp it makes me want to party in my geeky little pants. I keep meaning to do another tutorial. If I get time this weekend I’ll do one integrating Swift with Photoshop.
It was also weird this week. I was in Glasgow walking to my part time ‘life assurance’ job and within the space of two or three minutes I saw four different posters on the streets that I had done in my little old room. Its a great sense of achievement. Not something I think you would come close to working for the man.
So now that I’ve slaved away all week, I bid yee all farewell. I’m off to revel in my glory by kicking back and living the British dream…
I’m going to get plastered out my mind.
