I hate the anti-vax movement. People like Jenny McCarthy spreading fear about vaccinations that have been proven as safe time and time again. Still – their voices have been heard thanks to idiots like Oprah Winfrey and as a result we are seeing the return of preventable diseases. I love how Penn and Teller give the ‘no bullshit’ approach to the subject. These guys are amazing.
We always forget to note that back when these diseases were killing people left and right were also the days when surgeons did not even wash their hands before surgery, people did not bathe, we were not aware of proper hygiene, leaching was considered modern science and food was not refrigerated properly, we must take all those things and many others into account as to why these diseases have gone away.
I really think the true scares from the vaccine companies and not the anti-vaccine protestors, have you noticed how many vaccine ads there are all around us.

With all due respect Deyson I think you are being a tad naive. Remember there are, what we call, third world countries out there where vaccines also immunise people against preventable diseases.
Also, I’m guessing from your ‘vaccine ads’ comment that you are from America? Well here in the UK vaccines are given out by government run programs so there are no ‘vaccine companies’ to scare us. People are being scared by idiots in the media as mentioned in my post.
