    Ex-Smiths star Morrissey is to perform a live session for BBC Radio 2, it has been announced.

    The singer will be performing some of his classic hits and tracks from his new album Years of Refusal.

    Listeners are being invited to register for free tickets to attend the gig from the Radio 2 website.

    The session can be heard on Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie’s Radio 2 show between 2100 and 2200 GMT on Wednesday 11 February.

    This live performance from the BBC Radio Theatre in London takes place before Morrissey embarks on a world tour which includes performances at London’s Royal Albert Hall and homecoming shows in Manchester.
